“Youth engagement through culture “/ “In Culture”
“In Culture” is an international partnership for creativity that is focused on increasing of
active engagement of rural and peri-urban youth into community life through enhancement of
culture activities. Additionally, this project seeks to create stringer links and networks within
participating community and to decrease generational gap.
This partnership is built by three organizations: Asociacija “Viva Sol”, Lithuania
(coordinating organization), ARD Family Resource Centre, Ireland and Di Promozione
Integrata Per Icittadini in Europe Apice, Italy.
Over the period of 2021.05.01 – 2023.04.30 “In Culture” is set to achieve three main
objectives: first, to develop and pilot the model of youth engagement in the rural and peri-
urban communities through culture activities; second, to strengthen skills of youth and
community work practitioners for application of culture activities into work with youth and
communities in these areas; thirdly, dissemination of the model to the youth and community
work practitioners and relevant stakeholders.
As a part of project activities, created model will be tested with youth and community work
practitioners in rural and peri-urban areas in Lithuania, Italy and Ireland. More so, young
people from three participating countries will be actively engaged in creation of this project
throughout different stages. National and international visibility campaigns, dissemination
events and translational partner meetings are also valuable components “In Culture”.
This project is financed under the European Union Erasmus+ program, under the KA2 –
Cooperation for innovation and the exchange of good practices “Partnership for Creativity”,
through the National Agency in Lithuania JTBA.
